Vinyl FAQs
Vinyl flooring is relatively new on the scene, and unfamiliar to many customers. Here are some of the most common questions we hear about vinyl.
What's meant by LVT and LVP?
These are terms you'll hear tossed around when talking about vinyl. They're simply acronyms for different styles of luxury vinyl flooring. LVT = luxury vinyl tile, while LVP = luxury vinyl plank. The latter is generally made to look and feel like natural hardwood.
Where can I install vinyl floors?
Just about anywhere! Vinyl floors are easy to install, and many products are specifically designed to withstand moisture, wear and tear in any room. You can install vinyl in entryways, kitchens, living rooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms bathrooms, bedrooms, basements and more. Just be aware of the specific limits of the product you choose.
How do I repair vinyl flooring?
Most vinyl products nowadays click and lock together easily, which means that when an individual plank or tile is damaged, you can replace just that portion of the floor with relative ease. This is made even easier when your installation is done without the use of any adhesives, which is possible with floating installations.
